Your Host, Vasco

Portuguese born passionate photographer, experienced in film for the last decade. Over the passing years my love for Ericeira and analogue photos & cameras keeps growing. Iโ€™m happy to share both those passions to those keen to learn and explore.

As an avid learner I have found that in teaching we only deepen our knowledge and grow our skills while getting infected by the enthusiasm of those excited to dig deeper into photography.

Testimonials

  • "Vasco created such a special experience from start to finish. Walking along the Ericeira coastline with an analogue camera completely changed the way I looked at photography and at the surroundings themselves. Itโ€™s much more than a photowalk โ€” itโ€™s a full 360 experience, from the shooting process to the final reveal of the developed photos. Every moment felt intentional, relaxed, and inspiring. The combination of the ocean scenery, storytelling, and the excitement of waiting to see the final frames made it unforgettable. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to disconnect, slow down, and experience photography in a more meaningful way"

  • "The entire experience created by Vasco was incredible. From the first moment, there was enormous care in explaining all the procedures / ways of working with the machine to me, and he showed me various handling techniques. And the entire tour along the Ericeira Coast was very pleasant, with unforgettable landscapes and magnificent photo shots ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป I recommend this activity 100%. I will definitely repeat it, Cheers Vasco and see you soon"

  • "Taking the photography tour with Vasco was hands down the best part of my stay. Vasco is not only a talented photographer with a great eye for light and composition, but also a local expert who knows all the hidden gems that you won't find on any map. He shared some fantastic technical tips that instantly improved my shots, and he was incredibly patient throughout the whole walk. It felt more like exploring the coast with a friend than a formal tour. His passion for Ericeira is contagious! If you want to discover the authentic side of Ericeira and take home some stunning photos, I canโ€™t recommend Vasco enough. Thank you for an unforgettable experience!"

    โ€” Bernardo

  • "Awesome experience! Beautiful places and good vibes. Definitely recommend if youโ€™re looking for a fun activity and also learn about photography. 10/10"

    โ€” Edoardo

  • "Being a novice to film development, I found this half-day workshop to be packed with insights and inspiration. Vasco shares his knowledge in a fun and easy to understand way that made this new passion of mine come to life. The workshop is close to the beautiful cliffside setting of Ericeira, so there were ample opportunities for great photos. Vasco was also full of great recommendations on equipment and material, so I feel more than ready to bring my first steps in photography and film development back home. I highly recommend it!"

  • "Such a unique activity to add to your holiday, and I'm so glad I did! Vasco is an amazing photographer and has been shooting and developing his own work for years. (...) The day itself was really fun. We saw some beautiful corners of Ericeira, including spots that are off the "tourist track", which felt really special. Vasco is patient (I'm a beginner!) and incredibly passionate about everything we discussed. His enthusiasm was contagious and he steered the workshop in a very smooth and manageable way. (...) I have some amazing photos from the day and it's given me the confidence and skill set I need to keep improving. Beautiful scenery, a warm and easygoing host, and inspiration to continue - I highly recommend!"

    - Charlotte

  • "This was one of the most unique experiences of my trip. Exploring the coast with Vasco felt like seeing it through a localโ€™s lens. Literally and figuratively. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ The photos are such a special souvenir, but honestly, the experience itself is what made it. Vasco is fantastic teacher; thoughtful, easygoing, and clearly loves what he does. Pro tip: come prepared. Youโ€™ll be walking trails and climbing around rocks, so wear athletic or hiking clothes. Bring sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, and layers - the weather shifts fast. Iโ€™d do this again in a heartbeat."
